Welcome!

So I finally decided to take the time and start writing over here. I love writing, but some things happened in my personal life and I had to put it off... until now.

So, welcome to Rose Colored Cotton!

I figured the first post should be about how this all came to life and how I came to create it, sound good? Yeah, I don't care, 'cause I'm doing it anyway hehe.

Let me introduce myself. I'm Cotton Mary, and that's about all I'm saying about me. Really. I'm paranoid about Internet people hunting me down and killing me, or so to speak. I will say, though, that I'm about 25 years old and I studied to become a publicist, but I'm a designer by heart. An *anything* designer, and I mean it. Fashion, web, graphic. And a face designer, or, more commonly known as, makeup artist.

I always wanted a place to go, where I could talk about everything and anything and not really be censored or punished for it. I'm a member of quite a few forums online that range from tv shows, to weight concerns, to fashion, and so on. But it's grueling to go from one place to another to write about different subjects, so eventually I became nothing more than a so-called "lurker" at all of these places. Recently, I began entertaining the idea of creating a blog of my own, where I could come and speak my mind and say what I think about virtually anything. And just over a week ago, I made the thought of it a reality. And this is it.

"Rose Colored Cotton" is the name I chose for my blog. Why? Well, you know that expression that goes something along the lines of 'reading something with rose colored glasses on'? It sort of means that you read something and try to find the positive and the best in it. I like to think of myself as opinionated, so I would very much like my readers to come here and read my posts with rose colored glasses on, and find the good in what I post; have an open mind to my opinions. And since I go by the name of Cotton Mary, well, you can guess by yourself why I went on with the name from here.

So, I wholeheartedly hope you enjoy this thing, and if you do, I promise to come here and write as soon as my hectic lifestyle allows me to.
